Angela Gowdy BEM

We were all delighted to hear that one of our oldest (serving) volunteers has been recognised in the recent New Years Honours with a British Empire Medal.

Angela is a much loved and valued volunteer with Home-Start Garioch.  She came to Home-Start in 1996 when she retired from Paeditric nursing.

Angela has worn many hats over the years at Home-Start Garioch. She has been Chair and Vice Chair of our Board of Trustess.  Currently she is our Volunteer Representative on the Board and  sits on the Strategic Planning group. 

Her favourite role is as a home visiting volunteer. Over the years she has supported 23 families.

A much deserved recognition for the valuable work she does.
